I have been a lurker on this message board for a while now, and may have even posted, i can't remember. anyway, I am in Jax, florida, US. I am looking in to a cross-country ride to LA in the middle of april. I will be travelling light, and shipping my goods via UPS. here is my "unique" question. I will be trying to take auxillary highways, (ie state, us) rather than i-10, for safety reasons, and to get better views! I am wondering if there would be any one, any where in between here and there, (jax-LA) who would be willing to let a fellow savage rider to camp on their floor, porch, barn or couch for a night. I am honest, no drugs,etc. and if i do say so myself, pretty darn cool. i am 33, cauc, and college educated, if that means anything (go gator basketball!) It seems a crazy idea, but a x-country trip should be fun, adventurous which this would be. I am thinking about a 200 mi average per day, making it a two week trip. also, any other advice, or recommendations would be great. if anyone can help, please email me at gbarn@xoommail.com
